The Central Securities Depository was granted the status of a full member of ANNA

On the eve of its 25th anniversary, the Central Securities Depository is pleased to share an important event: the General Meeting of ANNA members was held on June 18, 2020, (Frankfurt, Germany), at which the Central Securities Depository's application for full membership status was considered. As an outcome of the General Meeting, Resolution No. 2020/1.6 was adopted, according to which the application of the RUE “Republican Central Securities Depository” was approved and the Central Securities Depository received the status of a full member of ANNA.
Becoming an ANNA member allows the Central Securities Depository to participate in ANNA general meetings with the right to vote, provides access to ANNA projects on the development and application of advanced international standards used in financial markets, expands the Central Securities Depository's partner network, and allows to use the world financial community`s expertise in standardizing operations and instruments of the financial market.

For reference: ANNA (Association of National Numbering Agencies) is an international organization founded in 1992 by 22 national numbering agencies from different countries. The Association strives to facilitate the assignment, distribution and application of international identification codes as a comprehensive method of financial instruments identification.
ANNA is the Registration Authority for ISO 6166 (ISIN - International Securities Identification Number).
ANNA provides global financial markets with unified securities identification codes for use in international trading, clearing and settlement systems; creates supports a single base of codes of securities identifiers; promotes the implementation of ISO 10962 (CFI - Classification of Financial Instruments), ISO 10383 (MIC - Market Identification Code), ISO 18774 (FISN - Financial Instrument Short Name), ISO 17442 (LEI - Legal Entity Identifier) ​​standards.
As of June 1, 2020, ANNA has 97 full members and 19 partners - organizations from 123 countries of the world.
Each year, the number of partners and members of ANNA is increasing as new National Numbering Agencies join in, aiming at the integration of their national financial markets into the international space and the unification of transactions with financial instruments through the application of common international standards.
In accordance with the bilateral Partnership Agreement concluded earlier between ANNA and the Central Securities Depository, starting December 1, 2008, the Central Securities Depository performs the functions of the National Numbering Agency (NNA) in the Republic of Belarus and is empowered to assign international identification ISIN, CFI, and FISN codes to issues of securities of Belarusian issuers. The Central Securities Depository assigns international codes to almost all issues of securities issued by the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Belarus and the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus on a regular basis.
