On 4 February 2021, the Association of Eurasian Central Securities Depositories (AECSD) conducted an online meeting of its first project working group.
Discussing current projects and trends of the financial market as part of joint events is a traditional approach to work used by the Association. It is aimed at broadening AECSD members’ knowledge of other countries’ accounting systems, at researching trends and coordinating activities for developing and integrating financial markets.
The event was attended by the representatives of central securities depositories from Russia, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Belarus, India, South Korea, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan.
The event was focused on developing remote services for clients in the following four areas: depository, information, repository, and e-voting services. The speakers shared their experience with regard to the specifics of the operation of different types of software that provided clients with access to CSD services.
The participants of the meeting showed great interest in the meeting topics and format, and expressed their hope for further fruitful cooperation within the Association.
