Bank of Georgia Joins AECSD as Observer

The Association of Eurasian Central Securities Depositories (AECSD) has granted an observer status to JSC Bank of Georgia.

This decision was made in early September by the General meeting of AECSD members held as part of the 14th International AECSD Conference in Minsk, Belarus.

Since the foundation of the AECSD, Georgia has been represented in the Association by the Georgian Central Securities Depository which has been an active participant in AECSD events.

The JSC Bank of Georgia’s representative emphasized the importance of the country’s cooperation with the Association, the financial organization’s proactive approach and intention to exchange experience.

Any central securities depository or a depository of any other type may join AECSD following the resolution of the General meeting of AECSD members.
