NSD conducts seminar for Kazakhstan’s CSD

On 14-16 February, National Settlement Depository (NSD), Russia’s central securities depository, held a seminar for delegates from the Central Securities Depository of Kazakhstan (KACD). The event took place in Moscow.

Regular meetings and educational seminars are traditional among depository members of the Association of Eurasian Central Securities Depositories (AECSD). The meeting with KACD representatives was dedicated to technologies and specifics of using ISO 20022.

Alexander Nam, NSD’s Managing Director for Technological Services, and Sergey Aristov, Director of Client Relations and Network Management Department of NSD, welcomed seminar participants. Dmitry Ivanov, Head of NSD’s Securities Accounts Network Management, presented an introductory speech and described key NSD products and services, the depository’s development plans and this year’s priority projects.

During the seminar, NSD’s experts provided participants with information about using ISO 20022 in NSD’s corporate actions reform project and the settlement service sector. NSD’s speakers also introduced the collateral management system for repo transactions, and explained the specifics of transforming ISO15022 into ISO20022.
