XIV International Conference of Eurasian Central Securities Depositories (AECSD) took place in Minsk on September 7, 2017

XIV International Conference of Eurasian Central Securities Depositories (AECSD) “Corporate information: collection and distribution, the role of the CSD, possibilities and limitations” took place in Minsk on September 7, 2017. The Conference was organized by the Central Depository of Belarus – Republican Unitary Enterprise “Republican Central Securities Depository”.

About 70 delegates took part in the Conference. In addition to AECSD members and observers in the Conference have participated representatives of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Belarus and Securities Department of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Belarus, Belarusian depositories and OJSC “Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange”, as well as SWIFT and Thomas Murray Ltd.

First Deputy Minister of Finance Maxim Ermolovich opened the Conference by welcoming the participants.


The following issues were discussed during the Conference:

  • Practical experience in usage of centralized system of corporate information collection, accumulation and distribution.
  • Pricing Policy. Differentiation of fees related to different corporate information.
  • IT platforms and corporate information distribution channels.
  • Segregation of responsibilities among CSD, information agencies and other participants.
  • Corporate actions evolution in AECSD.

In their presentations representatives of the AECSD member countries have covered all the features of working with corporate information on securities markets of Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Republic of Korea and India. Presentations of such international organizations as Clearstream Banking S.A., Euroclear Bank, SWIFT were also brought to the attention of the Conference.

The discussions on peculiarities of information services in different countries as well as on prospects and restrictions of such activities were held; new products and services of the participants were presented.

Within the framework of the “round tables” there were such topics for discussion as the role of central depositories in the process of distribution of corporate information and electronic document management in the activity of central depositories (introduction of new technologies and unification of channels of interaction).
